Zirconium Foil, Zr Foil
Zirconium Foil, Zr Foil
Zirconium foil, also known as Zr foil, is a thin sheet of zirconium metal that is typically less than 0.25 mm in thickness. It is commonly used in applications that require high strength, corrosion resistance, and high-temperature stability, such as nuclear reactors, chemical processing equipment, and aerospace components.
Zirconium foil is produced by rolling or pressing zirconium metal into thin sheets. It is available in a range of sizes and thicknesses and can be customized to meet specific application requirements. The properties of zirconium foil, such as its mechanical strength, ductility, and chemical stability, make it ideal for use in harsh environments where other materials may fail.
Some of the key properties of zirconium foil include high melting point (1855°C), low thermal neutron capture cross-section, good corrosion resistance, and biocompatibility. Zirconium foil can also be easily fabricated and welded, making it a versatile material for a wide range of applications.
