Niobium Carbide Powder (NbC), CAS 12069-94-2
Niobium carbide (NbC) powder is a refractory material that exhibits high strength, hardness, and excellent wear resistance. It is commonly used as an additive in cemented carbides or hard metals due to its high melting point and good mechanical properties. Niobium carbide powder can be synthesized using various methods, including carbothermal reduction, sol-gel, and chemical vapor deposition. It is also used as a reinforcement material in metal matrix composites, and in the production of cutting tools and wear-resistant coatings. Niobium carbide powder is available in a range of particle sizes and purities to suit different applications.
