Hot Pressed Boron Nitride (HPBN) Crucibles are high-performance ceramic crucibles made from hot-pressed boron nitride powder. The hot pressing process results in a material with excellent thermal stability, high thermal conductivity, high electrical resistivity, and excellent machinability. HPBN crucibles are used in a wide range of high-temperature applications in industries such as aerospace, electronics, and metallurgy.
HPBN crucibles are characterized by their high purity, low porosity, and high thermal shock resistance. They can withstand high temperatures up to 2000°C in inert and reducing atmospheres and up to 1000°C in oxidizing atmospheres. HPBN crucibles are also chemically inert and non-wetting, making them ideal for use with molten metals and other reactive materials.
HPBN crucibles are available in various shapes and sizes, including cylindrical, conical, and rectangular. They are commonly used for applications such as melting and casting metals and alloys, chemical analysis, and crystal growth. HPBN crucibles are also used as heating elements in high-temperature furnaces and as insulation materials in vacuum and controlled-atmosphere furnaces.
