Tantalum Carbide Powder (TaC), CAS No 12070-06-3

Tantalum Carbide Powder (TaC), CAS No 12070-06-3

Tantalum Carbide (TaC) powder is a refractory ceramic material with high melting and boiling points. It is a dark grey powder that is insoluble in water and is highly resistant to chemical and thermal shock. TaC is commonly used as a component in cutting tools, aerospace and defense applications due to its high hardness, excellent wear resistance and thermal conductivity. It is also used as a reinforcing phase in high-temperature composites, as well as in the production of nuclear fuels and fuel cladding due to its high melting point and resistance to radiation damage. TaC powder is available in different particle sizes and purities to suit various applications.
